Description
Built in 1906 on the Fort Calgary site, Deane House was originally the home of Captain Richard Burton Deane, the last serving North West Mounted Police Superintendent in Calgary. Now it is home to one of the city's best restaurants. After a flood forced the Deane House to close late last year, the restaurant will reopen soon with a new chef and a unique family-style dining experience.
Join us February 5th for an evening that brings the menu to life while exploring and connecting the rich history of Captain Deane and the heritage house. The evening includes a tour of the historical building, a live interview between Avenue‘s editor-in-chief, Käthe Lemon, and Deane House owner, Sal Howell, as well as jazz house fusion music courtesy of DJ Jon Spade and local musicians.
