Do It For The Culture showcases some of the best artists in the country and brings some of the most important music industry professionals in the game to interior BC! Do It For The Culture is a movement that is amplifies the voices of underrepresented artists and professionals, with a specific focus on those who make music of black origin.
The Festival includes 3 nights of programming with over 15 artists, including some of Canada's most exciting emerging stars as well as the hottest upcoming talent BC has to offer from an array of genres including hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeat, house and more. All shows will take place at Kelowna's premiere live music venue The Revelry.

TOBi is a 4-time JUNO winning Nigerian-Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter who makes makes unapologetic soul music. He is known for his smooth flow and soulful sound, which blends elements of hip hop, R&B, and Afrobeat. TOBi has received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Rolling Stone, i-D, COLORS, PAPER, and Sway In The Morning.
KÖL blends deep, sexy house, techno, and breaks with a euphoric, four-on-the-floor groove. As Co-Founder of RAISED BY RAVES and Marketing Director at Gorg-O-Mish, he’s shaping the scene on and off the decks.A rising force in electronic music, KÖL made his debut at just 17 with a groundbreaking set at the iconic Shambhala Music Festival. Rooted in European techno and underground hip-hop, he has captivated audiences across Canada with his emotionally charged performances and innovative productions.
LA-based alt-pop artist whose work dances between unhinged liberation and heartfelt vulnerability. Known for their genre-blending sound, theatrical flair, and electrifying integration of tap dance, TYA uses music as a stage for radical honesty, love, and mental health advocacy. Their award-winning queer music video Josephine cemented them as a creative force, while their upcoming My Mental Health Mixtape dives into the chaos and catharsis of being human — from anthemic breakdowns to tender self-reckonings.
Biracial, bisexual, and indescribable, TYA exists beyond boxes, merging 90s alternative nostalgia with modern pop edge to create something wholly their own. With a live show that’s part concert, part theatre, and all heart, TYA invites audiences to feel everything — loudly.
With roots stretching across India, East Africa, and Canada, Bijaan is the definition of a global artist. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta as a first generation Canadian to immigrant parents, Bijaan’s love for music was evident at a young age. Inspired by the lyricism and authenticity of the early pioneers of hip-hop (Jay-Z, Mos Def, and Shad) and the poise and polish of the modern era (J. Cole, Mac Miller, and Saba), Bijaan’s music transcends generations of hip-hop fans by creating a unique blend of old school authenticity with new school swagger.
