Description

Do It For The Culture is an event that showcases some of the best artists in the country and brings some of the most important music industry professionals in the game to interior BC! Do It For The Culture is a movement that is amplifies the voices of underrepresented artists and professionals, with a specific focus on those who make music of black origin.

The Festival includes 3 nights of programming with over 15 artists, including some of Canada's most exciting hip-hop and R&B stars as well as the hottest emerging talent BC has to offer.

R&B songs you can relate to. Traditional in his approach and armed with a voice that's refined and nectar-sweet, the Toronto singer-songwriter presents himself as an old-fashioned romantic with a timeless sound. 

CAMERON JAMES

Canadian Artist Cameron James, is a singer/songwriter hailing from Kelowna, BC. Drawing inspiration from a variety of genres, Cameron filters an ambitious blend of hip-hop, R&B and pop music.

 

NIKKAELA

NIKKAELA is a powerhouse vocalist and performer, blending her Canadian Filipina heritage into a R&B/Soulful sound that transcends borders.

LOWKITA

Lowkita is a Caribbean Canadian recording and performing artist. Influenced by her Caribbean Roots, Hip Hop and UK grime Lowkita creates her own sound, designs and look in whatever lane she is driving in.

 

PETTY

Petty is a Vancouver born & raised rapper, singer/songwriter. Petty’s style is an eclectic mix of his upbringing using thought provoking bars as an extension of his melodious voice.
