Do It For The Culture is an event that showcases some of the best artists in the country and brings some of the most important music industry professionals in the game to interior BC! Do It For The Culture is a movement that is amplifies the voices of underrepresented artists and professionals, with a specific focus on those who make music of black origin.
The Festival includes 3 nights of programming with over 15 artists, including some of Canada's most exciting hip-hop and R&B stars as well as the hottest emerging talent BC has to offer.

SHAD
Shad is one of Canada’s most revered rappers, a peerless wordsmith who embodies hip-hop’s power to entertain and educate. To date, Shad has racked up over 30 million streams, a Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year (for 2010’s TSOL), and four placements on Canada’s prestigious Polaris Music Prize shortlist.
TÖME
TÖME has toured with African international music heavyweights; Wizkid, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi and performed with so many of your favourites. Headlined festivals and concerts across Canada and globally, The Nigerian French-Canadian Singer-Songwriter born in Montreal, Canada boasts of a sonic palette that is just as diversified as her multicultural background.
MAUVEY
Born in Ghana, and raised between the UK and Canada, artist and songwriter, MAUVEY, defies categorization with his unique blend of influences spanning Afro, pop, hip-hop, cinematic, rock, punk, alternative, and electronic genres. Drawing inspiration from iconic figures like Michael Jackson, Prince, Kanye West, Coldplay, Burna Boy, FKA TWIGS, and Labrinth, MAUVEY's sound is unmistakably his own, transcending traditional boundaries.

Jarrel the Young (JTY) is an artist, writer, multi-platinum producer and synesthete Billboard #1 producer from Toronto that has worked with Fall Out Boy, David Guetta, Neyo, Jessie Reyez, Tory Lanez and more.
REBECCA SICHON
Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Rebecca Sichon (SEA - Shon) delivers a blend of R&B, Soul & Jazz in her music. Taking inspiration from the vocal acrobatics of Yebba and the grittiness of Amy Winehouse, Sichon’s voice oozes with emotion that captivates listeners.
NTWALI
Ntwali is a up and coming conscious rapper based out of Edmonton, with an aim of inspiring any and every listener that comes his way by laying down his rhymes over soulful instrumentals.
