Solomon Woodland and Denver Venoit are honored to return to where it all began — their favourite bar and hotel, the hidden gem of Southern Alberta: Twin Cities Hotel.

For one night only, join us for an evening of stories and songs in the place that feels like home.

Solomon Woodland brings his seasoned, beautifully crafted songwriting with an upbeat, raw energy that hits straight to the heart. Denver Venoit delivers road-worn tales, heartfelt songs of life on the highway, and a few well-timed jokes along the way.

Denver Venoit

Denver Venoit, known in some parts as Ole Man Kidd, hails from the Yukon and delivers story-driven folk, country, and blues steeped in road-worn honesty. Inspired by artists like Townes Van Zandt and Johnny Cash, his music carries a sepia-toned weight shaped by travel, loss, and wide-open landscapes.

Denver began touring North America as a drummer before stepping into his own voice as a songwriter. The howl of his bottleneck slide guitar and his weathered vocals echo across tundra, desert, and prairie alike — places he’s lived and worked, including seasons spent as a bison ranch hand on the Saskatchewan plains.

His songs reflect both personal and shared history, capturing tearful truths, restless miles, and the stubborn hope of the open road.

Solomon Woodland

Solomon Woodland performs original folk-country music inspired by the greats like Townes Van Zandt and Johnny Cash. Known for his haunting voice and rhythmic southern style of guitar playing, Solomon delivers songs that feel both timeless and deeply personal.

Often writing in a candlelit cabin, his work leans into themes of “simpler times,” rural longing, and the quiet truths of the human heart. With a sound rooted in tradition but carried by raw sincerity, Solomon Woodland creates intimate performances that linger long after the last chord fades.
