Description

Nominated for YYC Solo Artist of the Year in 2024, Dean Lauderdale returns to the King Eddy with his full band for a special performance celebrating the release of his new EP, Where is the Light. The record features three brand-new tracks recorded at the iconic Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre. Dean's sound blends classic rock, folk, and pop into an eclectic, heartfelt style that’s uniquely his own.

About Dean Lauderdale:

Dean was one of ten vocalists selected to perform at the Mid-Autumn Star Event, hosted by the National Music Centre, where he took home 1st place. He has also performed at vibrant venues such as the King Eddy, the Window of the West Stage at the Calgary Stampede, and Olympic Plaza.

Beyond his solo endeavours, Dean enriches the music community as a music teacher, collaborator, and music director of a 13-piece a cappella ensemble with the Youth Singers of Calgary. Additionally, he contributes his talent to the world of dance by composing the musical score for Alberta Dance Theatre’s Production of Gloom Town.

Nominated for 2024 YYC Solo Artist of the Year, Dean Lauderdale is a songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and performer. His music is a perfect combination of folk, rock, and pop, and his first full-length album, Life Lessons, is a testament to Lauderdale’s skill, taking on the roles of songwriter, producer, performer, and audio engineer.
