About the David Gerry Flute Ensemble

The David Gerry Flute Ensemble is named in memory of David Gerry, an Assistant Professor in the Music program in the School of the Arts. For 25 years he taught music students in the program. The flute was his passion and regularly performed in concerts locally as well as directing the Flute Ensemble. McMaster University’s David Gerry Flute Ensemble will resume in September 2023.

We are excited to welcome flutists back to an engaging ensemble experience with a focus on performing multi-voice flute choir.

 NEW: This spring’s concert is titled VOYAGE. Travel with the Flute Ensemble by train, car and imagination to distant lands. Works by composers from Peru, USA, Brazil, Ireland, Hungary and Italy.
