Daniel Son returns to Winnipeg for a rare appearance at Public Domain on Friday, September 19.

One of Canada's most respected underground MCs, the Toronto native has built an international following through a relentless run of independent releases and collaborations with artists including Rome Streetz, Raz Fresco, Futurewave, Estee Nack, CRIMEAPPLE, and more. Known for his razor-sharp lyricism and unmistakable boom bap sound, Daniel Son has become one of the defining voices in today's underground rap scene.

Joining him is Charlie Fettah, Winnipeg hip-hop veteran and founding member of Winnipeg's Most. With a career spanning decades, Fettah remains one of the city's most recognizable MCs, continuing to release new music while representing Winnipeg wherever he goes.

On the decks are DJ Kutdown and DJ Kinetik.

A cornerstone of Canadian underground hip-hop, DJ Kutdown is the founder of Foultone Records and longtime producer and DJ for Frek Sho. For more than two decades he's been behind some of the country's most respected independent hip-hop releases, producing, touring, and collaborating with artists across Canada while helping shape the sound of prairie hip-hop.

DJ Kinetik has been a fixture in Winnipeg's hip-hop community for years, known for his deep knowledge of underground rap, turntable skills, and support of independent artists across the Prairies. Whether behind the decks at live shows or helping build the local scene, Kinetik has earned a reputation as one of the city's most respected selectors and collaborators, sharing stages with many of Manitoba's top hip-hop acts.
