Dane Pedersen is a singer-songwriter from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, working within the contemporary Canadian folk tradition. A 2026 winner of both the Mariposa Folk Festival Emerging Artist Showcase and the Robinson Emerging Artist Showcase at the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival, Pedersen has performed at major festivals including the Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, and Celtic Colours International Festival. His debut EP, Travelling Alone, reflects a belief in the lasting power of a well-told song.
