History of the Land Walking Tour

Guided Walking Tours at The Confluence 

Dates: Wed-Sun starting June 3 
Times: 10:30 am & 2 pm 
Cost: $20-25 (includes tour and admission to The Confluence Cultural Centre) 
Ages: 12-16+ 

During the summer months, The Confluence offers walking tours Wednesday through Sunday at 10:30 am and 2 pm. These tours change daily and covers a mix of our most popular tours.

History of the Land Walking Tours

In 1875, the North-West Mounted Police arrived in what is now Calgary, setting in motion a series of events that would forever change the land and its people. This outdoor walking tour takes a reflective and honest look at those changes, acknowledging both the progress and the painful legacies left behind. From the First Nations who have called this land home for millennia, to the Mounties and settlers, we’ll explore the complex and often difficult stories that have shaped Calgary. 

Join The Confluence for a reflective tour on how the past and present intertwine, and how the land, its people, and their stories continue to evolve over 150 years later.
