Description
To celebrate Culture Days, Toronto's First Post Office will be leading a quill-writing workshop! Write a letter as they did in the Town of York in the 1830s. After a brief introduction to all the materials, and a few tips on mastering quill, ink, and sealing wax, you'll have the opportunity to write your very own letter which we encourage you to mail at Toronto's First Post Office, Canada's oldest purpose-built post office still in operation. Don't forget to bring an address!
This Culture Days activity is free with a PWYM donation option(Pay What You May)! 100% of proceeds go to material costs for the program. Please RSVP for a ticket as spaces are limited. All ages welcome.
Please note: Attendees are responsible for purchasing or bringing a postage stamp if they wish to mail their letter. All other materials are included.
