The Coastal Silviculture Committee is proud to once again host their annual winter lecture-series at Vancouver Island University's Nanaimo campus on the traditional lands of the Snuneymuxw First Nation.

This year's theme focuses on high impact silvicultural investments to support evolving economic, social, and environmental forest values in coastal British Columbia. The workshop will include topics such as:

  • BC Government expectations and the continued role of silvicultural interventions in meeting landscape goals
  • Perspectives from Crown licensees, private land holders, BCTS, and American silviculturalists
  • Stand-level modelling and economic analysis
  • Changes in vegetation management practices

More information including a detailed agenda will be posted on the CSC Website.
