Crown Jewels Comedy is here to bring you Canada's finest and funniest comedians every Sunday night at the King Eddy!

April 7 will feature Cedric Newman headlining, Faris Hytiia hosting, and a hilarious cast of guests. Bring your empty barrels because we’ll be filling them with laughs, guaranteed!

About Cedric Newman:

Cedric was born in Jamaica, raised in Montreal but calls Toronto home. Cedric has been performing on stages across Canada for over 2 decades. His stage presence, passion, and versatility are like no other. He participates in radio shows, festivals, private functions, and corporate events. You may have seen him on a stage at Yuk Yuks, as a finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh Off, on the Halifax Comedy Festival CBC to only name a few. Cedric is an Associate Producer in the movie, The Martini Shot and was recently on Season 8 of The Amazing Race Canada. Cedric’s EP “Urban Nonsense” and LP “Black to the Basics” are available on all major platforms.

About Faris Hytiia:

Born in Toronto to Sudanese parents, and raised in Alberta, Faris brings a unique mix of story telling and observational humour to the stage. In just 2 years as a comic Faris is featured at Just for Laughs Vancouver, Sled Island and Telus Story hive. One of the “New Faces” at the Just for Laughs Festival in 2023 performing in both Montreal and Toronto.
