Description

Creative Young Minds at Lake Country Art House: Uncharted Exploration

This summer camp will offer youth the opportunity to explore their creativity and let free their imagination. Art is a different place for every individual. Through different techniques, mediums, materials, and textures, we will discover the creative process and search for what art means for each of us. We will do painting and drawings, storytelling, sculpture, and printing. We will use fibres, sand, stones, metal, wood, and play to imagine, create and build. The age range for these camps is 7-12.

Camps run from Monday to Friday, 9 to 12.

Camp Dates

  • August 9th to 13th (Cancelled)
  • August 16th to 20th (Limited spots available)

Participants should please bring water and snack, proper shoes as we may go explore the nature around us, hat and sunscreen, clothes appropriate for doing art, or an apron.

All supplies included - Cost $160 per camp

Bio

Christia Langlois was born in France where she grew up and got a degree in literature before she moved to Chile for several years to raise her little family. She moved to Canada with her family in 2012 and is now established in the Okanagan. In 2019 she went back to Okanagan College to study Carpentry and Joinery in order to deepen her knowledge in woodworking. She has been teaching French, Spanish, gymnastics, circus, and art. Throughout the years her exploration of arts has taken her to discover and play with many techniques in painting, printing, pottery, woodworking, and fiber between others. Her artwork focuses on using art to navigate life with its infinite possibilities, avenues, and textures. Seeing art as a way to express ourselves, share, and communicate with the world. She enjoys working with kids and sharing with them the joy of exploration, imagination, and creativity.
