Comrie’s Sports Equipment Bank Celebrity Tennis Tournament

Comrie’s Sports Equipment Bank (Comrie’s) will host its first-ever celebrity tennis tournament at the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre.  This tournament welcomes 16 influential Canadians including: tennis star Daniel Nestor; hockey icons Lanny McDonald, Theo Fleury and Mike Vernon; and Canadian Olympians, Catriona Le May Doan and Jesse Lumsden.

Players, sponsors and attendees will be treated to an exciting day of tennis, seeing some of the country’s most famous faces play alongside Calgarians. Players will participate in a series of doubles matches to become the first official winner of the Comrie’s Sports Equipment Bank Celebrity Tennis Tournament.

Comrie’s is a leading not-for-profit organizations dedicated to providing equipment to children at no cost, who would otherwise be denied the opportunity to play sports.  Since its 2014 inception, Comrie’s has distributed over 51,500 sporting items and outfitted over 13,700 kids with equipment. With the launch of the celebrity tennis tournament, Comrie’s hopes to continue this momentum through increased awareness and funds for the organization.
