The Grindstone Comedy Fest presents a super charged one hour performance of improvised comedy where duos go head to head. Featuring Two Girls One Trench Coat, Michael and Justin of NYC's Magnet Theatre, and Byron and Dallas representing the Grindstone Improv Ensemble, hosted by Lee Boyes!

Two Girls One Trench Coat feat. Brennan Asbridge and Victoria Kucher

Two Girls One Trench Coat is a comedy duo based in Toronto comprised of Brennan Asbridge and Victoria Kucher. They are known for their grounded scene work with strong characters and zany ideas. This duo focuses on Long Form Improv with quick edits, stylized scene work and edgy content. The two have performed in Festivals around North America in Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, New York, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and MORE! Brennan & Victoria have a long-running monthly duo show, "Seeing Double", hosted out of Comedy Bar Bloor, and have produced over 3 successful runs of the format "Close Quarters" at Bad Dog Theatre. You can see them on your screen in the digital series "Brennan & Victoria Make Rent"

Magnet Theatre NYC feat. Michael Lutton and Justin Torres

Veteran New York improvisers Michael Lutton and Justin Torres combine their years of experience to form Megan Pasta: a duo unlike any you've seen before! With a style that is grounded, playful, and always surprising, Lutton and Torres create textured worlds that are both surreal and human. Both Michael and Justin perform regularly at the Magnet Theater in New York City, their home base. You can see them in Premiere: The Improvised Musical every Friday, as well as on the road.

The Grindstone Improv Ensemble feat. Byron Martin and Dallas Friesen

Byron Martin and Dallas Friesen are excited to be representing the Grindstone Improv Ensemble. They've shared the stage many times before, bringing laughter to local audience in the form of quick wit, made up songs, and hilarious characters and storylines as seasoned performers in the 11 O'clock Number.

Lee has been performing and coaching improv for over 25 years. A member of Rapid Fire Theatre for over a decade, he has been working with The Grindstone since they officially opened their doors in 2018 and has had the pleasure of performing on their stage in a number of different shows! A technician & musical improvisor in his own right, he's seen and lived the positivity and fun that improv can bring, and strives to help his students and peers embrace the irrelevant silliness that only improv can create. He has performed throughout North America, in many festival ensembles or with his solo show Leegion, an exploration of multiple narratives, characters, and whatever other weirdness his black heart unearths!
