Comedic legends Kirsten Rasmussen, Donovan Workun and Kevin Gillese team up for an ultimate evening of Improv hilarity.

 

Kirsten Rasmussen

Kirsten Rasmussen is a comedian, actor and director. She directed Extravagana Eleganza the all queer sketch show that  won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Production 2019. She starred in Second City’s She The People which won a 2019 comedy award for Best Ensemble. Kirsten was the assistant director for the most recent Second City Mainstage revue, If I Could #THROWBACK Time.  Her other director credits include sketch shows such as Tom Hearn’s Slang, Ian McIntyre’s The Rise and Fall of Data Man, Ajahnis Charley’s Come Thru Kweens and Whiskey Kids Big Dork Energy. Kirsten’s solo sketch show Full Time Idiot won Montreal Sketch Just For Laughs Award 2017,  and her show Kirsten, Get Some Friends won the audience award at Toronto Sketchfest 2018. Kirsten’s on screen work has been featured on Tall Boyz, The Beaverton, Schitt’s Creek, Odd Squad, Dino Dana, Bit Playas, and to come out sometime in 2020 she will be starring in tow web series, Slo Pitch and Band Ladies.  For now check out her solo webseries Healing From Heartbreak on Youtube and follow her on twitter for other show news @kikirazzle

 

 

Donovan Workun

Donovan Workun is a 3 time World Improv Champion with over  30 years experience in his craft. In 1990, Donovan founded his acclaimed comedy duo Atomic Improv. Atomic has toured across North America, Asia and Mexico and are the first improv group to headline Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Atomic has been featured in several TV comedy specials and was selected to perform at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. Atomic Improv continues to perform, teach workshops and keynote for live shows and corporate events all across Canada. 

An accomplished actor, Donovan has been featured in dozens of  National commercials, TV shows, feature films, plays and musicals. Donovan was a leading voice for 7 seasons in the hit  CBC Radio One Series: The Irrelevant Show. Able to excel on any stage, Donovan has had the pleasure of performing live alongside his contemporaries Mike Myers, Wayne Brady, Colin  Mochrie, Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty, and Kevin McDonald. He’s opened for Chelsea Handler, Paul Reiser, David Spade, Nikki  Glazer and Whitney Cummins. His extensive work in film has him sharing the screen with Patrick Swayze, Tom Green, Demi Moore and Tim Curry. Donovan is currently touring the political musical theatre sensation Jason Kenney's Hot Boy Summer, where he  plays the title character. This summer he is thrilled to be opening for Amy Schumer and Pete Davidson. A father of two wonderful children, Donovan calls Edmonton home and loves appreciating the city's history and exploring the beautiful parks and trails that Edmonton has to offer.

 

Kevin Gillese

Kevin is an Atlanta-based improviser from Edmonton, Alberta. He was the Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton before taking the Artistic Director job at Dad's Garage Theatre in Atlanta. As a performer he's best known for his improv duo "Scratch" which has toured across North America, Europe and Australia numerous times over the past fifteen years. His debut feature film "How To Ruin The Holidays" starring Colin Mochrie and Amber Nash is currently in post production.
