Jon Dore

Jon Dore is a talented Canadian writer and actor that has infused his comedic abilities into  numerous hit television shows and films. In addition to recently wrapping his stand-up special  for Comedy Central, he was the series lead in the CBS Pilot THE HALF OF IT, played a  memorable guest star role on CBS' Emmy Award-winning hit series HOW I MET YOUR  MOTHER, and played a lead role on ABC’s HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS. Dore has  had multiple guest appearances on CONAN, BARONESS VON SKETCH SHOW, @MIDNIGHT,  INSIDE AMY SCHUMER and HART OF DIXIE. His film credits include CORPSE TUB, STAG,  TEEN LUST, THE PICKLE RECIPE opposite Lynn Cohen, and the indie film GUS. In addition to  acting, Dore has an impressive writing resume that includes The Comedy Network's THE JON  DORE SHOW, CBC's JUST FOR LAUGHS, and HBO's popular FUNNY AS HELL. You can  also see Jon host eight episodes of THE STAND UP SHOW on the Comedy Network from July  2019’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

CHARLES HAYCOCK

Charles Haycock is a unique comedian in many ways. Whereas most good comics command an audience’s attention by being larger than life, Charles drops all the pretense and offers up a quirky playful style that makes the crowd WANT to listen. His humour is subtle, yet uproariously funny. Charles branches off in unexpected directions, and is gifted enough that the odd jokes that MISS are often as funny as the ones that hit. He embodies the old saying that “a good comedian says funny things, but a great comedian says things funny”, which is why he has been turning heads since taking to the stage in 2012.

In 2019, Just For Laughs and Netflix declared Charles as one of the “New Faces of Comedy”. He then appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and was also named by CBC Comedy as one of Canada’s “Comedians to Watch”. Charles has had multiple TV Tapings for the Winnipeg and the Halifax Comedy Festivals in Canada and has been featured on CBC and Sirius XM Radio.”

BRAD SEMOTIUK

Brad ‘Big Honkin’ Semotiuk started doing stand up comedy when he was 17, since then he has won best of the fest at the cleveland comedy festival, been featured on CBC radio and worked with headliners like big jay oakerson and shaun majumder. brads comedy is mostly about his family and his childhood. he thinks its good and he hopes u do too :)

The Grindstone Comedy Festival is operating under the guidance of Alberta Health Services and Phase 3 of the Open for Summer Plan.
