Description
Gilson is a St. Lucian born comedian who found his calling while studying Architectural Design at a community college. Upon catching word of live comedy existing in his reside city of Toronto, he took to the stage two weeks later and the rest, history.
Chris Quigley has been wowing audiences and mastering his craft from the young age of 19, making him one of Canada's top Comedians, and earning him an hour Special on CTV's well known “Comedy Now”. With a wide range of topics and facial expressions that are second to none, he is sure to please all audiences young and old.
He happily tears up the mythologies of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with superb ease and accuracy. He is an energetic comedic force and a "kamikaze" humorist.
Rick Currie is a veteran of the Canadian comedy scene. He began in 1984, sweeping backstage after school at a popular Ottawa improv club, Skit Row. By the nineties, he had stage managed three different productions at Canada’s National Arts Center, the Miss Grey Cup pageant, and taken a show to London, England.
All kidding aside, Rick Currie has been cracking up Canadian audiences for over two decades now. Rick is a veteran of the Canadian comedy scene, he’s played to packed house at the Toronto People’s Comedy Festival, shortly after he received an invitation to play the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.
In the winter of 2001, the producers of “Open Mike with Mike Bullard” put out a call for submissions in a national search for a new writer. Out of hundreds of applications, Rick was chosen for the job, and his monologue jokes appear in the show every night. Through much of 2007/08 he was remote correspondent for 93.9 BOB FM’s “The Morning After with JR and Sandy “.
Rick returned to the Winnipeg Comedy Festival in the spring of 2009 where he performed on the Saturday night gala show, which was later broadcast on CBC TV. In the winter of 2009, it seemed like the whole city of Ottawa was singing Rick’s “OC Transpo Strike Song”. In the summer of 2010, he joined the writing team for CBC’s “The Rick Mercer Report” and has been smiling ever since. In 2012, he was chosen to perform at The Halifax Comedy Festival.
These days, Rick Currie is a father of two girls and besides doing stand up in and around the Ottawa valley area, he has written and performed pieces for the CBC’s “Content Factory”, airing on radio and television shows such as The Current, DNTO and The Hour.
