Description
DirectHer is partnering with CHOA and ATB for a special presentation of our foundational Board Basics Course.
What to expect: This event will start with an exploration of gender diversity on boards – including where we are at, and why we should all care about moving the needle. From there, the DirectHer team will teach you the fundamentals of being a director, including: a director’s role, various governing models, common language and process, basic director financial literacy and more. We are excited to have a number of special panelists joining us for this event, who will speak about their experiences on boards throughout:
Who should attend? Anyone! DirectHer, CHOA and ATB welcome gender diverse participants who are allies in gender equality and interested in learning more about governance (especially those who are new to board governance or are looking for a refresher on foundational concepts).
CHOA members can attend on a complimentary basis - please contact mproulx@choa.ab.ca for more information. Pre-registration is mandatory. Non-CHOA members can purchase tickets on a "by donation" basis to DirectHer (with a suggested minimum donation of $10). If cost is a barrier - please contact info@directhernetwork.com to inquire into our Scholarship program. Please note - ticket sales are final.
