The McDades [LIVESTREAM]

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The COVID-19 pandemic is greatly affecting our artists ability to travel and tour - some tours have already been cancelled.  The situation is evolving.  Nevertheless, for now, the Calgary Folk Club is committed to presenting in-person and livestream concerts.

To maintain our scheduled concert dates going forward, the Calgary Folk Club will be modifying the artists for some concerts such that the tickets you purchased may not feature the artists originally advertised.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and we hope you understand our predicament.  Our commitment for the remainder of this season:

• We will keep the artists bios up-to-date for each concert as the situation evolves in our Showpass Tickets and our artist links in the Calgary Folk Club website. We will also use Facebook and newsletter emails to help keep you informed as the situation evolves.
• For those who already purchased tickets, we will work with you to find a solution should the artist(s) change for the concert ticket(s) you purchased. We would like to avoid refunds but will be happy to do so if no other artist in the lineup appeals to you.

The McDades are Edmonton-based masters of the fiddle-driven Celtic sound more typically associated with the folk scenes of eastern Canada, especially Cape Breton. Fronted by siblings Shannon Johnson (violin and vocals), Solon McDade (bass and vocals), and tin whistle virtuoso Jeremiah McDade (multi-instrumentalist and vocals), The McDades have wowed audiences for two decades and counting with their white-hot virtuosity on prestigious national and international stages, after having cut their teeth in the long-lived McDade Family Band.
