Local to Grande Prairie, The Cecily Phelps Band makes original music that mixes singer-songwriter soul with pop-rock spirit — creating honest songs, big feelings, and melodies that stick. From stripped-down verses to soaring choruses, their music is about connection, authenticity and creating moments where everyone feels connected.
About the Opener -
James Mearon Morrison is a multi-talented musician, composer, and producer known for his passion for musical performance, his unique approach to music and video production, and his dedication to promoting Peace Country music and musicians. He documents the local music scene through his Instagram account: On_the_Music_Beat, and releases music through his own label, the Papillion Record Company.
Whether performing as a solo act, in a duo with his brother, or with a collection of friends, James’ music is a combination of traditional folk wrapped around pure vocals and haunting lyrics. He has performed at the Bear Creek Folk Festival, the Bluesky Music Festival, the Grande Gathering Gala, the President’s Black and White Ball, and the new Moon Folk Club.
James has won several awards including the Northwestern Polytechnic Young Influencer Award which “celebrates the achievements of young alumni, 30 years of age or younger, who are creating meaningful change in their community or profession. Emerging leaders who inspire through their innovation, initiative, and impact”.

Refund Policy
Refunds and exchanges are available only for events and productions put on by Grande Prairie Live Theatre (GPLT). Refunds are available until 2 weeks prior to the performance start date. After that exchanges only will be available. Events put on by outside organizations that GPLT is selling tickets for may have different policies. Please contact those organizations directly for more information.
