* This is a chance for a female or gender-expansive individual to DJ the opening slot in a nightclub environment. To enter; create a 15-minute mix and email the link to joannamagik@gmail.com by Wed May 10. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter. The deadline is Wed May 17.

The Calgary DJ 101 Clinic occurred on March 19 hosted by @joannamagik and @jayemkayem.

 

How to Enter:
    •    create a 15 minute DJ mix.
    •    mix should acknowledge this is a house music night and this is an opening DJ time-slot.
    •    upload mix to Soundcloud, make link private.
    •    mixes longer than 15 minutes won’t be considered.
    •    to minimize barriers; please note these mixes can be recorded live on rented or borrowed gear, recorded live on Rekordbox or created on free music software such as Garage Band.
    •    entrants should be prepared to play on CDJS and Pioneer 900 mixer.
    •    entrants must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to win and have government issued ID (drivers license or passport).
    •    be creative and have fun!
