Carole Pope is an agent provocateur pushing the boundaries of sexuality, sexual politics, and the status quo. Her work has been recognized with three JUNO Awards, multiple independent music awards, a Genie Award, and 4 gold, 1 platinum and 1 double platinum album. Her latest single, Speaking in Code, with Clara Venice, is available everywhere. Her latest EP Music for Lesbians explores the funny tragic things about being a lesbian. Contributors include Peaches, Alain Johannes and Rob Preuss.

Pope is currently workshopping Rough Trade The Musical with Kate Rigg. Pope has toured with David Bowie and performed at festivals, clubs and art galleries around the world. She also appeared in SUCK, a vampire movie, along with guest stars Moby, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper and Henry Rollins.

Pope has contributed music to film and television, including Transparent, Love or Whatever, Pretty Hard Cases, The L Word, and many more. Her seminal band Rough Trade was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2020 and the Canadian Music Week Indy Hall of Fame in 2007. Thursday September 19.
