Description
In Italy, winemaking is truly a labour of love. In the Veneto region, winemakers crafting Amarone and Ripasso wines follow the traditional process of drying the harvested grapes for up to 4 months before the fruit is pressed and slow fermented. After fermentation the wine is aged for at least 2 years in wooden barrels. The process also gives the resulting wines an uncanny ability to mature and develop in the bottle, so they richly reward wine lovers with an abundance of patience. Wine expert James Bornn leads this guided tasting of vintages of both Masi Campofiorin and Masi Costasera Amarone that date back to the 1990s. This is a rare opportunity to experience these sought-after wines firsthand!
