Description
Welcome to Campus Alberta Neuroscience's 7th annual symposium, Translating Neuroscience from Idea to Impact. This year’s symposium will explore translational pathways using examples of Alberta neuroscience and mental health innovations. Researchers, people with lived experience, government, industry and not-for-profit representatives will address the research processes, the entrepreneurial realities, regulatory avenues and more in research and translation. Attendees will take away a greater understanding of what it takes to make use of research ideas to create impact.
In the evening, Thursday will conclude with a 2 hour poster session open to the public. Poster presenters will include Alberta's neuroscience and mental health trainees, neuroscience start ups and partner organizations including community groups, research support organizations, university groups, not-for-profit organizations and more. Trainee and start up presenters are encouraged to prepare posters and presentations that are accessible to the whole audience which will include fellow scientists and interested members of the public. Partner organizations will present on the different ways their organizations contribute to the research translation process. This reception is an exceptional and unique opportunity to network and connect!
Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available. The evening reception is a free event open to the public; however registration is required. Other registrant types are automatically registered for this evening reception and do not need to register separately.
