An award ceremony will take place on April 5th where our festival adjudicator will decide the recipients of the Calgary Region Awards including Outstanding Performer, Outstanding Direction, Outstanding Technical Merit, Outstanding New Work, and Outstanding Production. The recipient of this last award will represent the Calgary Region at the Provincial Festival happening in May in Medicine Hat. About the ADFA
The Alberta Drama Festival Association is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to encourage, develop and maintain community theatre in Alberta. The main vehicle for pursuing this mandate is the adult, non-professional One-Act Play Festivals held throughout Alberta. Regional organizations in each of the nine zones host annual festivals which bring together community groups in a celebration and sharing of theatre excellence.

About the Pumphouse Theatre
For over 50 years, The Pumphouse Theatre has been a home for Calgary’s emerging performing arts scene. In any given year more than a dozen companies will produce over 35 shows in the two theatres. The many diverse groups that perform at the Pumphouse Theatre range from large established companies to small up-and-coming artists’ collectives. The Pumphouse Theatre is committed not only to providing a high-quality venue for the arts but also to keeping the venue affordable for Calgary’s arts community.
