The Calgary National Bank Challenger (The Challenger) event will return to the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre from November 5 to 12, 2023. This will be the second time the popular tournament will be held as a combined….

Men’s & Women’s Professional Event

The Challenger event has quickly gained a reputation as one of the premier sporting events in Alberta and one of best ATP Challenger tournament events in the world. It is the largest professional men’s & women’s combined indoor tennis tournament in Canada. In 2023 we will host our International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women’s Pro Circuit Event featuring many of the best up-and-coming female players in the world. This world class event is a must attend event, featuring many of the best up-and-coming and established stars on the ATP, ITF and WTA World Tours.

This event prides itself on bringing the tennis world and the Calgary community together, hosting on-site activities, engaging local tennis clubs and providing opportunities to get on court while the tournament is on.

 

 

Policies

  • There will be no assigned seating during the ATP Challenger.
  • All tickets are general admission on a first come-first-serve basis with the exception of Box Holders who will be given assigned seats/tickets.

Spectator Etiquette

  • Please remain in your seat until the end of play and only leave your seat during a player change-over.
  • Please refrain from making noise during play.
  • Smoking is not permitted within the grounds of the Alberta Tennis Centre.
  • Turn cell phones to silent or vibrate mode.
  • Do not use flash photography from the stands.

Code of Conduct

  • Alberta Tennis Centre, Tennis Canada, Tennis Alberta and the ATP Tour are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all fans attending.
  • We ask fans to be respectful of those around them and that they conduct themselves appropriately at all times.
  • Guests will be denied entry if intoxicated/impaired or in possession of and illegal substance.
  • Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by tournament organizers may result in ejection and/or further legal action. 
  • Fans who are ejected will have their tickets revoked and will not be compensated in any way.

Parking:

  • Only box holders with parking passes are allowed to park on the premises
  • Public transit or car pooling is recommended
  • Parking available at Carriage House overflow parking lot
  • Allow ample time to walk to the Alberta Tennis Centre
  • Some street parking is available; please review posted signs on the street
  • Towing is enforced

Terms & Conditions 

No ticket holder or spectator may: (a) continually collect, disseminate, transmit, publish or release from the grounds of the Tournament any match scores or related statistical data during match play (from the commencement of a match through its conclusion for any commercial, betting or gambling purpose); and (b) film, photograph, broadcast, stream, publish, transmit and/or otherwise offer to the public (or assist any third party in offering to the public), on a live or on a delayed basis, in whole or in part, and whether on a free basis or subject to payment, any sound recording, photograph, video footage, motion picture, film and/or other audio-visual content captured by any mean whatsoever inside the Tournament site (except as it is allow in the Tournament Accreditation Policy). The continual use of laptop computers or other handheld electronic devices within the confines (spectator area) of the tournament match courts is prohibited. The exception of this provision is properly credentialed media, tournament vendors and tournament staff when used in the performance of their duties.

COVID-19 Notice

You understand that the event for which you purchase a ticket shall be presented in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of such event and which may change at any time as determined by federal, provincial, or local government agencie;  such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures and entry requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings. If any Holder does not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders or directives, promoter or venue terms, conditions or rules, then the promoter or venue operator may refuse admission or require any Holder to leave the venue and you/Holder will not be entitled to a refund.

Event Cancellations/Postponements

Events may be postponed or canceled for a variety of reasons.  If you hold tickets to an event that is postponed or canceled, we encourage you to directly contact the Alberta Tennis Centre (ATC) to obtain information about postponed dates of the event and whether there is an applicable refund.

  • Refunds will generally be issued if an event is canceled and not rescheduled, however, ATC reserves the right to retain various fees and charges paid by buyers or sellers on our Service, even if an event is canceled and not rescheduled.  Refunds will be issued by ATC to the Payment Method on file that was used to make your purchase.
  • If an event is rescheduled, we will try to offer a ticket with the same value or in the same location as the one you originally purchased, although that is not always possible.

 

2023 Calgary National Bank Challenger Ticket Validation and Transferability Policy

Section 1: General Information about Ticket Transferability

  1. All Calgary National Bank Challenger (the event) general admission tickets are transferable BEFORE being validated.
  2. General admission tickets include:
    1. Daily tickets
    2. Weekend passes
    3. Weekly passes
  3. All daily general admission tickets can be transferred to other people BEFORE it is validated. Once it is validated for the day, the ticket cannot be transferred or be used to enter the event venue anymore.
  4. A weekend pass is valid for November 10, November 11, and November 12. The weekend pass can be validated once each day. A weekend pass can be transferred to other people before it is validated for the day. Once it is validated for the day, the pass cannot be transferred or be used to enter the event venue on that day.
  5. A weekly pass is valid for all days from November 5 to November 12. The weekly pass can be validated once each day. A weekly pass can be transferred to other people before it is validated for the day. Once it is validated for the day, the pass cannot be transferred or used to enter the event venue for the Day.
  6. Spectators are not allowed to duplicate the ticket by photocopying, scanning, or screenshooting.

 

Section 2: Ticket Validation and Re-entering

  1. The general admission tickets will only be validated during the event (November 5 – 12, 2023). Tickets cannot and will not be validated before or after the event.
  2. The general admission tickets will be validated at the entrance of the event venue (OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre, 295 90th Ave SE Calgary, AB T2J 0A1) only.
  3. The general admission tickets will be validated by the volunteers or staff manually or digitally with a ticket scanner.
    1. Manual validation: volunteers or staff will hole-punch or mark the valid physical tickets (a printed event ticket) on the date the ticket states and stamp the ticket holder’s arm with a stamp.
    2. Digital validation: volunteers or staff will validate the digital tickets (a printout of a digital copy or shown on a digital device) by scanning the barcode/QR code and stamp the ticket holder’s arm with a stamp
  4. Each daily general admission tickets can only be validated (manually or digitally) once.
  5. Each weekend pass and weekly pass can only be validated once each day of the event.
  6. After the ticket or the pass is being validated for the day, ticket holders/spectator can re-enter the event venue by showing the ticketing volunteer or staff the stamped image on their arm.
  7. The validation stamp image will be changed and updated each day when the gate opens.

Refund Policy

Tickets are non-refundable. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance (power outage) which prevents play, tickets will be honoured for another session of day.
