By Popular Demand: The 2027 Season Preview Concert

Looking ahead to the future, Music Mountain Theatre is thrilled to present the return of our By Popular Demand concert on Sunday, April 26 at 7 PM.

This special Broadway concert event features selections from musicals currently under consideration for our 2027 season, with live performances paired alongside narrated synopses to give audiences a glimpse into each show.

This year’s event introduces an exciting new format:

The Battle for the 2027 Season

Eight musicals have been selected and divided between two legendary songwriting teams:

Kander & Ebb
Cabaret • Curtains • Chicago • Kiss of the Spider Woman

Rodgers & Hammerstein
Oklahoma! • South Pacific • The Sound of Music • Cinderella

Over the course of the summer, our audiences will help narrow these eight titles down to a final two, ultimately influencing what will appear in Music Mountain Theatre’s 2027 season.

Fishbowl Voting Returns

In conjunction with the concert, MMT’s popular fishbowl voting will return. Each musical will have its own fishbowl, and patrons may cast their vote by contributing any amount to the show of their choice. All proceeds support Music Mountain Theatre, and every donation helps determine the outcome.
