Join Fort Calgary in the Burnswest Theatre for a night at the movies! Grab snacks and a cocktail at this licensed event, and enjoy two terrifying black and white movies in Fort Calgary’s newly renovated theatre.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, so come early to reserve your seat and take a look at Fort Calgary’s museum.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is a 1954 American monster horror film directed by Jack Arnold and produced by William Alland that stars Richard Carlson and Julia Adams. The film was originally filmed in 3D black and white film, and inspired two sequels: Revenge of the Creature (1955) and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956). The Creature is counted among the classic Universal Monsters, and was played by Ben Chapman on land and Ricou Browning underwater. The film centres on a strange prehistoric beast lurking in the depths of the Amazonian jungle, and the group of scientists that try to capture the animal and bring it back to civilization for study.

Psycho is a 1960 American psychological horror film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock, and written by Joseph Stefano. It stars Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, John Gavin, Vera Miles, and Martin Balsam, and was based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Robert Bloch. The film centers on an encounter between a secretary, Marion Crane (Leigh), who ends up at a secluded motel after stealing money from her employer, and the motel's owner-manager, Norman Bates (Perkins), and its aftermath.
