Description
Come enjoy a local craft beer from Sea Change Brewing Co., while getting up-close and personal with a few of the Royal Alberta Museum's favourite invertebrates.
Meet a giant African millipede, a Chilean grey tarantula and a MacLeay's spectre stick insect, presented by live animals supervisor, Peter Heule. Feeling shy? A little liquid courage goes a long way!
Join the Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) for a fun and educational 18+ event. Bring your friends, have a beer and introduce yourself to some of the extremely interesting and animated members of the museum’s bug room. Feeling shy? A little liquid courage can go a long way!
Peter Heule, live animal supervisor at the Royal Alberta Museum started as a volunteer in the Bug Room back in 1998 and has been working for the museum ever since. A lifelong fascination with all animals led to years of experience keeping mammals, reptiles, amphibians and a wide range of invertebrates, a perfect fit for a person like Pete. He continues to share his passion for the more than 250 species of live animals that the RAM displays.
