BUDDY (Off the CUFF)

 

Remember BUDDY—the bright orange unicorn and star of that classic childrens' television show who brought joy and life lessons into your living room? Inside the colorful world of "It's Buddy!", a group of children spend their days singing, dancing, and helping Buddy spread happiness. But when one child refuses to play along, Buddy is not pleased and cracks begin to appear in this seemingly perfect world.

Casper Kelly is a writer and director best known for creating the viral phenomenon TOO MANY COOKS. A veteran of Adult Swim, he co-show ran the Emmy-nominated YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING TO HELL and wrote for hits including ARCHER and AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE. His film credits include the CERTIFIED FRESH, V/H/S/HALLOWEEN and ADULT SWIM YULE LOG. 

OFF THE CUFF is a year-round series presented by the Calgary Underground Film Festival. For those films we just can't make work with our festival dates, we go off the CUFF.
