The Oddities & Curiosities Expo is the world's largest traveling oddities event showcasing hand selected vendors, dealers, artists and small businesses with all things weird. You'll find items such as: taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror/halloween inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, creepy clothing, odd jewelry, skulls/bones, funeral collectibles & much more. We truly have something weird for everyone at our shows. All items you see at our shows are legal to own and sustainably sourced. Outside of our curated vendors, we host sideshow performers on stage all throughout the day and the opportunity to learn the craft of taxidermy and entomology with classes available during the expo.

The O&C Expo provides a safe place for anyone to come and discover new artists, meet new friends and be surrounded by an amazing community of like-minded people

SATURDAY TAXIDERMY CLASS
Jackalope Taxidermy Class - SATURDAY ONLY
Time: 10AM-4PM
Cost: $390
Description: These elusive creatures have been on hiatus since their 2023 debut in Australia, and this is your chance to bring one back to life. Join us for a full day of learning and creativity in this immersive, hands-on workshop where you’ll create your very own jackalope mount to take home and proudly display.

Designed with beginners in mind, this course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy. Our expert instructors will guide you step-by-step through the entire process, ensuring you feel confident and supported from start to finish.

The Jackalope Class takes place Saturday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with breaks for lunch and shopping. We provide everything you need for the class, including decorative elements. However, if you’d like to bring your own unique decor to personalize your mount, you’re welcome to do so!

No sharing allowed, no refunds and no one under 18. Please arrive 15 minutes early. 

Class price includes General Admission to the expo day of your class. 

SUNDAY WET SPECIMEN AM CLASS
Octopus Wet Specimen Workshop - SUNDAY AM ONLY 
Time: 10AM-12PM

Description: Immerse yourself in the intriguing world of biological preservation with our Wet Specimen Preservation Workshop hosted by The Sleeping Sirens! Our wet specimen workshop this year is a marine focus around a whole octopus that you will inject AND an already preserved tentacle specimen that you will get to take home inside a globe. This hands-on class is designed for students, artists, and science enthusiasts eager to explore the techniques of preserving specimens in liquid mediums. Discover how to create striking wet specimens that showcase the beauty and complexity of the natural world.

Join us for an engaging and educational experience that combines art, science, and a deep appreciation for biodiversity. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and passion for the natural world! By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stunning preserved specimen to take home and display. This class begins at 10am on
Sunday and runs approximately 2 hours.

The class is from 10AM-12PM Sunday only and includes breaks. No sharing allowed, no refunds and no one under 18. Please arrive 15 minutes early.

SUNDAY TAXIDERMY PM CLASS
Squirrel Shoulder Mount Taxidermy Class - SUNDAY PM ONLY
Time: 1:30PM-4PM estimated 
Cost: $280
Description: This year, we’re keeping one of our shorter workshops on the schedule with a North American squirrel shoulder mount! Join us for this beginner-friendly taxidermy class where you’ll learn the fundamentals of the craft in a supportive, hands-on environment. Our expert instructors will guide you step-by-step through the entire process, making it approachable and enjoyable whether you’re brand new or simply looking to refine your skills. By the end of class, you’ll head home with your very own squirrel shoulder mount.

This workshop is thoughtfully designed to fit into a manageable 2.5 - 3 hour session, packed with learning and hands-on experience. Class begins at 1:30 PM on Sunday. We provide everything you need, including decorative elements. However, if you’d like to bring your own unique decor to personalize your mount, you’re more than welcome to
do so!

The class is from 1:30PM-4PM Sunday only and includes breaks. No sharing allowed, no refunds and no one under 18. Please arrive 15 minutes early.

SATURDAY ENTOMOLOGY CLASS
Entomology Class - Intro to Butterfly Pinning - SATURDAY 
Time: 1:30PM-3:30PM

Description: Introducing.. Intro to Butterfly Pinning! Hosted by Jason Penfold of Violet Eyes Entomology.

In this class, you will learn the foundational knowledge of hands-on Entomology. With everything from tools to specimens provided, you will be guided step-by-step in creating your own perfectly pinned specimens ready to be displayed in your personal collection for years to come. All methods are taught so that they’re easily replicated at home, ensuring your entomology journey continues well after the class. No prior experience required.

Ages 10+ with parental guidance required for under 18s. Class is 1:30PM-3:30PM, please meet at class about 15 minutes early.

This class is perfect for insect lovers, collectors, and anyone interested in the beauty and science of entomology.
