Roots-rock collective Electric Timber hits the legendary King Eddy stage for an evening of musical exploration on August 26, presented by Brewery and the Beast.

About Electric Timber

Victoria, BC roots rockers Electric Timber are led by singer-guitarist Mike Roma and a collective of musicians bonded together by myriad musical influences, from roots and rock to blues and bluegrass. Theirs is music borne from freedom and exploration, taking inspiration from the music of JJ Cale, Phish, Derek Trucks Band, Steve Earle, and Doc Watson.

As the long-running house band for the annual Brewery and the Beast Festival, which will be held Aug. 27, 2023 at Fort Calgary, Electric Timber has performed on stage with Washboard Union, the Harpoonist & the Axe Murderer, Current Swell, and Wide Mouth Mason, among others.

Established in 1905, the King Edward Hotel was Calgary’s second oldest hotel and the longest operating bar and hotel when it closed in 2004. In 2008, the Eddy was acquired by the National Music Centre (NMC) and in collaboration with the City of Calgary.
