Bow Valley Cirque w/ Adam Mertens

 

Join us at SkiUphill RunUphill for an evening with local Bow Valley athlete Adam Mertens, a runner who finds inspiration in dreaming up creative ways to connect the mountains we call home. From FKTs to long link-ups, Adam is drawn to challenges that test both body and mind. This night, he’ll share the story of his Bow Valley Cirque — a 146 km route with 11,000 m of elevation gain, circling the valley in one continuous push.

Adam will take us beyond the numbers, opening up about the struggles, doubts, and small wins along the way. It’s not just about distance or elevation — it’s about why he pushes himself to the edge, and how these efforts create a deeper connection to the land and community around him. Come share in the journey, the lessons, and the inspiration from an adventure that’s as much about the inner experience as it is the outer achievement.
