Sometimes improv scenes can feel stagnant, like walking in glue, when they should feel effortless and joyful. This workshop reframes how we look at scene progression by stripping away the pressure of “doing it right” or “making it good”. 

 

Because improv is less about good ideas and more about making our ideas good.

 

Together, we will:

• Explore practical tools and ways to push a scene forward without overthinking.
• Break several “improv rules” and not feel bad about it.
• Discover that everything we need is already there if we know what to look for.

Terje Brevik is a professional improv teacher, performer, producer and community-builder based in Oslo, Norway.

 

He is the founder of both Tøyen Impro and the Short Notice Improv Festival, as well as Impro Neuf and the Oslo Impro Festival.

 

With over a decade of experience, he’s taught and performed across the world.
