Inspired by the life of Nina Simone, Black Is The Color Of My Voice is a powerful one-woman play with live music that celebrates the voice, spirit, and legacy of a true icon.

Written and performed by Apphia Campbell, the story follows a gifted singer and civil rights activist searching for redemption after personal loss. Through reflection, music, and memory, her journey traces the path from piano prodigy to fearless artist at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. Featuring many of Nina Simone’s most iconic songs, this is an intimate and deeply moving theatrical experience. This is recommended for ages 12+ (under 14s must be accompanied by an adult)
