Best Night Ever (Vancouver) // http://www.bestnighteverband.com
Since 2013 BEST NIGHT EVER have been bringing their unique brand of meticulously crafted neo-motown tunes to music festivals and live venues across the West Coast. Treading the line between modern & vintage, fresh yet familiar, their soulful sound is reminiscent of golden-era Michael Jackson or Stevie Wonder with a healthy helping of modern R&B & pop influences.
2017 CBC Searchlight finalists, the band has had a string of successes centered around their live performances including winning both the 2014 ROCK THE MIC and 2015 ROXY Launch Party contests. Along the way they’ve shared the stage with Canadian hit makers Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd (“Roxy Roller”), viral YouTube sensation B. Rich (“Out for a Rip”), and west coast mainstays Bend Sinister & Tonye.
Their 2015 self-titled EP was engineered and mixed by Elisa Pangsaeng (Hey Ocean!, Said the Whale) and led to local radio support and placement of their song Dancing By Yourself in the Leo-nominated feature film FSM. In 2016 the band released a pair of videos filmed at Vancouver’s Monarch Studio showcasing live performances of both their original song “This City” and a raucous take on Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T.”. Since their release in 2016, the videos have garnered over 250,000 views online and have led to numerous performance opportunities while continuing to help the group grow their international fan base.
2018’s “Writing on the Wall” paints a picture of loss and regret, triumph and forgiveness accompanied by viceral piano chords and soaring guitar melodies. The song is the first single from their upcoming new 2019 EP, recorded with producer Evan Morgan with funding from Creative BC’s Music BC Fund (now Amplify BC).
They continue to be regular weekend staples at some of Vancouver’s best live music venues, and are gearing up for their biggest year yet! Visit www.bestnigheverband.com for more information.
The Fallaways (Vancouver) // https://open.spotify.com/artist/4yGirl35VAEA28wvtQVFhQ?si=1KXwQoibTI2FSe3kj-kxLg // https://youtu.be/HnZerLjpIKQ
The Fallaways are the epitome of hard work. When the band isn’t touring, they’re writing. If they aren’t writing.. they’re filming and when you see them live you’re gonna see a new level of energy. Compare them to a mix of bands like FIDLAR, Highly Suspect and a modern Green day. With their debut EP release garnering over 130,000 streams on Spotify alone. 2018 saw the band opening as direct support for The Lazys and Band of Rascals while sharing bills with Red Fang, Teenage Bottlerocket and The Wild! Their next release “Dumb” produced by Zac Carper (FIDLAR) is expected to drop sometime before summer.
Bobby's Cane (Vancouver) // https://bobbyscane.bandcamp.com
Bobby's Cane is a four piece rock group from Vancouver B.C. Their name comes from the lead singer/guitarist Bobby Jeboult who lost his sight and uses a cane. Along with Aaron Giesbrecht(guitar), Nic Campagna (bass), and Sam Cummings (drums) this group has created a sound uniquely their own blending grunge, catchy melodies, and soulful vocals since forming in early 2012
