Lane Small will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Take for example, The Price is Right. Yes, the game show. A lifelong fan with dreams of making it on the show, Lane concocted an unusual scheme to make him stand out, and it led him straight onto the stage as a contestant in 2018. All it took was dedication, creativity…oh, and a tattoo of Drew Carey on his back.

It’s with that same unabashed fervor that Lane wanted to form his own band. A drummer on the Vancouver punk scene for years, he spent all opportunities on the sidelines to capture his songs ideas with a voice recorder on his phone. Following a skateboarding accident, he spent a summer honing a new skill set: music production and sound design in Ableton Live. It was from there that Lane was finally able to fully manifest the pop melodies and sonic textures that had been floating in his head for so long, laying out the groundwork for the band that would become Rainbow Road.

Their upcoming debut LP, fittingly titled “WANT”, is about the burning desire that each member of the band brings to their craft.

Bringing Rainbow Road to life was an exercise in cross-border visa applications. Keyboardist and co-producer, Danni Ammon, is an Australian pop singer based out of LA. Drummer Henrikee is a Brazilian composer who just got his Canadian permanent residency. Johnny Gillich (Year of the Wolf, Small Town Artillery) ventured to the West coast from his hometown of Winnipeg, in pursuit of opportunities in a larger local music scene. And together with Lane, they're all-in on Rainbow Road, driven by a shared WANT: playing these songs together, regularly, to a wide audience.

The completed WANT LP is set to be released in late 2019.

SPENDO (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/spendomusic/

Fear The Wolves (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/fearthewolvesband/

Percussive bass, addictive ear candy guitar licks, louder then life drums and a whole lot of hair, Fear The Wolves are dragging you out of the house for a night of LIVE music, dancing and tough mornings 😉

“Ive always wanted to pair up with Allen Yang” mentioned former Chilled Clarity frontman Bronsen Rasmussen. After a long hiatus and much needed maturity (Beard included!!) he regroups with Yang. With Allens experience as a sound engineer the vision was almost complete. Unbeknown to Bronsen the final puzzle piece was around the corner. At a factory in Chilliwack BC he met Jonathan Sankey who would become Fear The Wolves drummer.

FTW first single “No Way” was released June 2019. It wears a brand new, yet familiar alternative rock vibe with lyrics we all at one point can relate to. Follow FTW and their journey today on all media platforms

Blue Arbutus (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/BlueArbutusBand/

Blue Arbutus comes to you from the heart of Vancouver. With hard hitting riffs, scorching vocals, bombastic drums, and bone rattling bass lines, this is the up and coming band you can't afford to miss.

Seville (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/sevillesound/

Strap in for some sultry, soulful jams with Seville. They can't (and won't) promise to stick to one genre as they jump from Funk to Rock to Blues to Flamenco. One thing they can promise, is that it will be a high-energy, heartfelt evening.

Playing at bars across Vancouver, Seville is making a name for themselves on the Vancouver scene.

Come along and experience Seville for yourselves!
