The Choke (Vancouver) //
Wise Youngblood (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/
Wise Youngblood is a hard hitting, high octane rock group from Vancouver Island reminding everyone that Rock N’ Roll can never die. With a fusion of the west coast grunge the boys grew up on and some southern blues roots Wise Youngblood has crafted a signature sound that separates them from the pack.
The group’s sound starts with lead vocals that carry you though every emotional detail of each song keeping you singing along every time. Following that up with thunderous drums and powerful bass tones their live show is slammed into gear. Topping everything off with some heavy guitar riffs and addictive licks they will keep your heads bobbing and feet stomping.
With their debut EP ‘Desert Wake’ featuring “Pyromaniac’ and their latest single’s ‘My Only Problem’ and ‘Robot’ Wise Youngblood has gained positive reviews as well as showcased their strong live performance all across Canada. Opening for and sharing stages with bands like Monster Truck, One Bad Son, The Wild!, Band of Rascals, Pigeon Park, and Aviator Shades this small down band is here to stay.
Wise Youngblood is pure rock. Their show isn’t just another gig, it’s a party. Focusing on nothing but the heavy groove’s and the crowed these boys were born to be on a stage. They strive to make sure that the crowd has a good time and every show memorable that doesn’t end when they leave the stage.
They don’t just want to preform for the crowd, they want to know them! Eager to join their fans for a pint at the merch booth or in the crowd they make sure the fun continues.
The 5 track EP and 3 latest singles are all available now on all popular platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play.
Strathcona (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/
Modern rock band from Vancouver B.C. featuring a 3 piece arrangement of drums bass and guitar.
Redwhyn (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/
Redwhyn is an up-and-coming three-piece alternative rock band from Northern BC. Founded by brothers Josh and Michael Hanson, the band has been playing shows around BC since the summer of 2016. They released their debut, self-titled album in November of 2017 on all major streaming platforms and are currently writing and recording their second album, expected to be released this winter.
Redwhyn’s music is a refreshing take on alternative rock, with traces of modern blues-rock and echoes of late progressive rock. You can expect to hear a range of influences including Biffy Clyro, Goo Goo Dolls, and early-days Coldplay. Redwhyn’s show boasts intricate riffs, haunting melodies, and soaring solos full of energy and crowd appeal. Original songs that have been borne out of both the bitter cold of British Columbia’s Central Interior and the endless rainfall of its Lower Mainland will grip concert goers and album listeners alike.
Sunny and the Dudes (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/
With their bluesy guitar tones, steady drum beats, and funky bass riffs and piano keys, they never fail to gravitate an audience abounded with excitement whenever they hit the stage. As the name suggests, the band simply consists of Sianne (affectionately Sunny) on the bass and her three dudes, Dan on drums and Dave on the lead guitar and lead vocals, and Matt on keys. You may recognize them from previous shows around Vancouver at venues such as, the Railway and Portside Pub, but recently they’ve been working away behind the scenes on their first EP. Although they are influenced by some of the best including Radiohead and Glorious Sons, they’ve been honing in on their own sound and can’t wait to showcase it with their EP, expected to be released in early 2020.
