Bealby Point (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/Bealbypoint/

Bealby Point is an Alternative Rock band based in Deep Cove, North Vancouver that formed in 2018. By combining musical styles including 70s classic rock, 90s alternative punk, and modern indie rock, Bealby Point has created a unique sound that’s turning heads within the Vancouver music scene. In anticipation of their EP release, the group of four has released two singles, “Take Control” and “This Girl”, on Spotify and Apple Music as well as a small collection of demos on their SoundCloud page. The Bealby Boys are continuing to grow their fanbase not only through their music, but with their unique senses of humour and thrilling live performances. With several shows lined up throughout the Fall and into the new year, there is absolutely no sign of slowing down for this group of young, energetic artists.

Murray Atkinson (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/MurrayAtkinsonOfficial/

Murray Atkinson is a Vancouver-based songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist. Currently plays guitar with The Odds, composes music for game developers, and writes music for his solo project.

League of Wolves (Edmonton) // https://www.facebook.com/leagueofwolves/

League of Wolves is a hard-hitting rock group from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Originally comprised of four childhood friends, Dillon Currie, David Wickstrom, and Aspen and Greig Beveridge, the band started out by playing at small concert halls and outdoor events in neighbouring cities and towns. They quickly earned local recognition, with their first demo getting radio play throughout the province.
In 2016, the group played at local venue, The Capitol, owned by four-time JUNO award-winner and former lead guitarist of The Sheepdogs, Leot Hanson. After seeing the show, Hanson was blown away and knew it was something he needed to be a part of. He soon after became a permanent member of the band. Hanson’s wealth of experience and writing style brought a new sound and direction to the band, with listeners comparing it to the likes of Kings of Leon and Queens of the Stone Age. “In collaborating with Leot, our song writing took a different direction. Our sound is closer to what we wanted all along,” says the band… “Exactly like it should be”.
With the new sound and surrounding local excitement, the band drew the attention of JUNO award-winning producer Gavin Brown (Three Days Grace, Tragically Hip, Billy Talent), who after months of development signed them to his record label, Inside Pocket. After writing and collaborating with the likes of Maia Davies (co-writer with One Bad Son, Mother Mother), Jon Harvey (Monster Truck) and Brown himself, League of Wolves found themselves at Noble Street Studios in Toronto, Ontario to put to record a brand new 6-song EP. Rounding out the world-class production is Grammy award-winning mixer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse), with Harry Hess (Billy Talent, Arkells) sitting in the mastering chair.
League of Wolves frontman, Dillon Currie, says writing and recording with the likes of Brown, Davies, and Harvey has helped the group evolve creatively, as well as solidify their vision. Above all, he says these experiences are extremely rewarding: “It’s fun to be a part of making quality content with your friends and being able to share it with people all over the world”.
The self-titled EP will be released on Inside Pocket via Warner Music Canada in early 2019, with the first single, ‘Never Be the Same Again’ to be released August 24th, 2018. An accompanying music video will also be released, which was filmed during the band’s spring tour.
Having already shared the stage with several of Canada’s top rock bands, including The Glorious Sons, The Trews, and The Beaches, League of Wolves look forward to hitting the road in the fall of 2018 – and not stopping until their name is a mainstay on every top rock playlist in the country.

Last of the 80's (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/Lastofthe80s/

A Band.Plays Music.

Easy Trance (Winnipeg) // https://www.facebook.com/EasyTrance/

The collective Easy Trance is a four piece rock band that formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2015. The group consists of lead guitarist, Brayden (Shelly) Schellenberg, singer and rhythm guitarist John (Andrew) Unrau, bassist Reese (Michael) Antonishin, and drummer Chad Martens. Starting as a basement band with a heavy investment into freestyle jamming, the group progressively developed into a new age inventive sound with roots in genres such as blues, jazz, funk, reggae, psych, and alt rock. Currently, the group has been playing bars and parties in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. They have also begun undertaking their first studio album “Medium Funk”, recording out of Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts (MOSMA) in house studio - set to release early 2018.
Live, the band prides themselves on producing an environment of recreation and repose. Regarded as a group on the cusp of an entirely new motif, the band is defined in a dense music space with originality and raw musicianship. Brothers before bandmates, the four extroverts irrefutably assert their sound at any venue, and control the space with a chemistry that would be nonviable to an average batch of mates. Consistently, the bulk of Easy Trance shows are a high energy party environment with tailor-made doses of feel good grooves and elaborate instrumentals. With a vigorous driving rhythm section, and colourfully expressive guitar melodies, the collective has fabricated an authentic resonance that can not be dismissed.
Striving to advance music while simultaneously leaving their own mark, Easy Trance is one of the newest and most compelling ensembles on the scene. The band has managed to situate themselves outside the box, and make a name as a force to be reckoned with. In their quest for longevity - whether or not Easy Trance produces lasting results - they stand as an entity worth dissection.
