Barbershop Harmony Time!

It's Barbershop Harmony Time at the Anchormen Chorus' 2025 Spring concert! Featuring 2024 Sunrise (Atlantic) Division champions, the Anchormen Chorus, quartet champions Duly Noted, and special guests: Newfound Sound and Close Quarters A' Capella Quartet.

Newfound Sound is the only women's barbershop chorus in Newfoundland and Labrador. Established in 1985, they have been sharing friendship and song for over 35 years. For more information please visit their website at: www.newfoundsound.org.

Close Quarters quartet is comprised of Pam Penney Thomas (Tenor), Michelle Carew (Lead), Mary Jane Maloney (Bass) and Carolyn Best (Baritone). Their original quartet, ACCENT, was formed in 2001 and won Harmony Inc's District Competition in both 2004 and 2006. Having performed on Rogers Cable TV, CBC Radio, various concerts, and private parties, Close Quarters enjoys sharing their love of ‘a cappella-style’ music whenever they are afforded the opportunity.
