It's that time of the month again... Bands!Bands!Bands! & March marks VOLUME 7 with bands number 25, 26, 27 & 28! The Victoria Event Centre believes in promoting local music and providing a space for bands to show off their spectacular talent and we are so so happy to be able to provide that space.

Meet the FOUR BANDS performing on Tuesday, March 19th!

Carmine
In late 2023, the harmonious union of Shale and Furniture Party birthed Carmine, an alt-rock sensation pushing the boundaries of the genre. Comprising Reghan Geddes on vocals, Breanna Montague on bass, Rowan Hensley on keys, and Brett Rose on drums, Carmine distinguishes itself through a captivating absence of guitar. Embracing influences from '70s classics to modern hits, their music is a vibrant blend of piano, electric keys, and pulsating bass lines, creating a clear yet gritty sound.

The Coast
This is a new band made up of veteran musicians, playing songs of recovery, sobriety and redemption. Playing rock and roll with pop sensibilities and catchy hooks, this band is creating something special. They are poised and ready to showcase their hard work.

Zenith
A fusion of 70s and 90s flare, Zenith creates a cosmic realm of alternative rock sounds that brings the listener on an energetic journey.

Creatures of Autumn
Creatures of Autumn is a queer, goth indie punk band from Victoria, BC who throw the gritty n pretty riffs of the 90s alternative scene along with the gloomy trappings of goth together, then take speedy, raunchy, punk riffs and smash them into some slow, down tuned doom riffs and finally a sprinkle of twin peaks weirdness, a newts eye, lizard tail and bat wings and throw it all into a wood chipper pointing towards the audience!

At the VEC there is zero tolerance for any type of racist, sexist, ableist, fatphobic, transphobic or homophobic behaviour. By purchasing a ticket and attending an event, you agree to conduct yourself with the utmost respect for everyone at the venue. In the event that you do not, you may be asked to leave without a refund. Respect, as well as, consent are of utmost importance. Accessibility at the VEC is an ongoing project, and we continue to work to make the space more accessible to all kinds of folks. There are also a lot of different barriers to accessibility that have been identified, that we continue to work on. As part of this process, we ask guests: If you are able to do so, use the Broad Street stair entrance and multi-user washroom. There is only one accessible entrance and washroom, help make sure those who need it can use it. Do not move tables or chairs without venue permission. Keep aisles clear at all times and please return your glassware to the bar.

≫ Substance Use Policy ≪
As per our liquor license we have a zero tolerance policy for outside alcohol in our venue. Bag checks can be performed by security and outside alcohol will be confiscated. There is no smoking or vaping allowed inside the venue. We may refuse liquor service at any time, but commit to practices that are non-judgemental of intoxication, regardless of its form, cause, or base substance and we will treat everyone with dignity and respect. We may, in some situations, have to ask intoxicated people to leave our venue due to circumstances that put the safety of others at risk. We will not do this lightly, or without significant reason.
