Ballet Jörgen - A Midsummer Night's Dream

 

Think of it as ballet a Canadian way! Adapted from William Shakespeare’s classic comedy, Ballet Jörgen weaves the classical work with Canada’s unique landscape for a refreshed telling of the story.  
 
Canada’s Northern woodland will be on display, taking the place of the Fairyland from the original work. A tale of mischief, magic, and love is told onstage, with a dash of humour among all the characters. The ballet adaptation is set to Mendelssohn’s 1827 concert overture and 1843 instrumental score which includes the famous “Wedding March.” 

As one of the most popular and widely-performed plays from Shakespeare’s works, this is a can’t-miss performance of a classic.
