Mark Meer

Mark Meer is a Canadian actor, writer and improvisor, based in Edmonton, Alberta. He is known for his role in the Mass Effect trilogy, in which he stars as the voice of the player character, Commander Shepard. His voice is featured in a number of other games from BioWare Corp., notably the Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age series. Meer stars as the voice of the player character William Mackenzie in The Long Dark from Hinterland Studio. He also works in animation, providing the voice for several characters in a series of cartoon shorts produced by Rantdog Animation Studios, and the voice of Horse in the Captain Canuck web series starring Kris Holden-Ried and Tatiana Maslany.

Aimée Beaudoin

Born and raised in tiny Tomahawk AB, Aimée has been performing for 20 years. Aimée starred in the sketch comedy TV series CAUTION: May Contain Nuts (APTN) where she was nominated for 4 Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Female TV Performance and 3 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Writing and Best Sketch Comedy TV Show Ensemble. Aimée has most recently appeared on television in Hell on Wheels (AMC), Wynonna Earp (Syfy) and Finding Mr. Right (Hallmark). She also co-owns Spotlight Cabaret where she performs regularly, you may have seen her on stage there in Legends of Music, Moolah Rouge, Prettier Woman, Titanical the Musical or the host of Bourbon & Burlesque. Her next show at Spotlight Cabaret is Dirtier Dancing, running Feb 17-April 30th, come check it out! Donovan Workun

Donovan Workun is a world renowned improviser and actor who has starred in movies, TV shows and radio programs including seven seasons on the #1 comedy radio show in Canada – CBC’s The Irrelevant Show, and CMT’s reality hit show Ice Racer Showdown. His career highlights include: performing with Mike Myers, Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, Dave Thomas, and Joe Flaherty (SCTV), Kevin McDonald (Kids In The Hall) and Tom Green to name just a few, official performer at the 2012 Summer Olympic games, featured in Amazing Race Canada, hosted the Red Carpet at The Juno Awards, starred in movies alongside Tim Curry, Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze, Carmen Electra, Tom Green, Donald and Kiefer Sutherland and WWE’s star Steve Goldberg. Acclaimed as a multiple winner of Alberta Motion Picture Industry Awards, the first improv group to headline Montreal’s Just for Laughs and the San Francisco Comedy Festival, and the first comedy act to be nominated for Entertainer of the year by The Canadian Association of Campus Activities Awards.

Simon Abbott

Simon Abbott is a left-handed, itinerant musician based in Edmonton. He is an organist by training, and a glam rocker by disposition. He has at times struggled to feed himself as a choral conductor, jazz pianist, and musical theatre director, although he is now pleased to be gainfully employed at the Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts.

The Grindstone Comedy Theatre is a venue that is rented by independently produced shows. This show is produced by Atomic Improv with grant money from the Edmonton Arts Council and the City of Edmonton.
