Description
A BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT
The Commercial - Home of Blues On Whyte presents At The Crossroads, a musical salute to the world’s first rock star: Robert Johnson! From Mississippi and for 2 nights only, Robert Johnson’s grandson and The Sons of Chicago celebrate the man, the myth, and the music.
Cloaked in mystery, blues legend Robert Johnson changed the course of American music. His songs have been covered by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees such as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and Cream. In addition, he has inspired movies, and literature, and has influenced generations of musicians. Eric Clapton called Robert Johnson "the most important blues singer that ever lived." Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, and Robert Plant have cited both Johnson's lyrics and musicianship as key influences on their own work.
Do not miss this rare opportunity to experience the music and the legend!
