Description

Arts, Beats & Eats on 5th returns to Royal Oak on August 21st, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is the third year of the event, which last year drew 300 civic and business leaders together to sample great food and custom cocktails and groove to music by artists scheduled to perform at the annual Labor Day weekend festival.

We invite you to join the fun this year under the skies on Fifth Street in Royal Oak, between Washington and Center streets. (Rain location is the Fifth Avenue nightclub) VIP reception tickets are $100 and allow early entry from 5:30 to 6:30, to mingle with elected officials and Royal Oak’s senior city staff. General admission tickets are $50 with entry at 6:30.

This year, we have invited six nonprofits to sell tickets to the event. They will receive 75 percent of the ticket price and bring a new audience to the event.

Since its creation, the Royal Oak Civic Foundation has quietly distributed more than half a million dollars to fund community programs, including:

  • Senior transportation
  • Plantings and amenities in the arboretum
  • Addressing food insecurity during the pandemic
  • Helping kids during the holidays
  • Providing gift cards in small amounts for acts of kindness by Royal Oak police officers
  • Funding yard care for seniors in need
  • Providing books for the library’s innovative vending machine
