Classical-pianist-turned-indie-producer Arsoniste (Rachel Sunter; r-sun-east) makes laptop songs at home with her cats. Drum loops, spacey keys and radioheady vocals deliver the ruminations of a tomboy model music nerd with trauma in the bank.

 

 

Arsoniste coproduced her fan-funded, debut LP Queen of Swords (2025) between Halifax NS and Sheffield UK, before finishing it at Montreal’s Hotel2Tango with Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire).
