Armada Ski's Ornada

Join Coast Mountain Film Festival for an evening of ski films, prizes and good vibes. We'll start with a couple bonus films project by local legends Joey Kraft and Mady Hart, producers of last year's critically acclaimed "The Harvest" and “Fifteen”. This year Joey brings us “Burn Pile”, featuring some of the best riders in BC. And, Mady brings us “Carving Space”, which spotlights the women behind Shredcatz, a North Vancouver-based non-profit fostering inclusivity in snow sports. We’ll wrap things up with our feature, Armada Ski’s team movie; “Ornada”

The Ornada ski film is the collection of Armada’s contribution to freeskiing and the culture that surrounds it. It’s a celebration of the marriage between skiing and art. It’s a tribute to the past, everything Armada has done through generations of skiers, and a preview of the future of what skiing will become.

North Vancouver's Ornada film premier is a display of just how far the creative boundaries can be pushed, a fusion of mind-bending skiing, interactive art installations and live-scored music serving as the soundtrack to the action on screen. It’s an exploration of a dreamlike outpost of reality masquerading as a ski film.
