Arias of Seduction, by Khadija Mbowe’s company Operatika, is a groundbreaking operatic performance that redefines the genre for a contemporary audience. Led by the multi-disciplinary artist Khadija Mbowe, Operatika pushes boundaries by blending opera with burlesque and pole dance art.

This captivating show features Khadija performing iconic arias exploring themes of desire, self-discovery, and human connection. The performance transcends traditional opera through a captivating fusion of vocals and movement.

About Khadija Mbowe
Khadija is a multi-hyphenate creative, performer, and model whose work spans acting, singing, pole performance, and digital storytelling. Known for blending vulnerability, nuance, and humor, they create space for both artistic expression and community support. Career highlights include touring their pole-opera show Operatika Presents: Lover Girl and producing Montreal’s first pole-opera production, Arias of Seduction. They also host a podcast for a large online audience, now primarily on Patreon. Khadija previously hosted the Philadelphia Orchestra’s HEARTogether Podcast and has appeared across multiple shows. In 2020, they founded the Marigold Music Program, a free summer intensive for youth, expanding access to arts education.

If you would like to exchange your ticket or be granted a refund, please email tickets@buddiesinbadtimes.com. Requests will be approved at the discretion of Buddies in Bad Times and Tallulah’s Cabaret, as well as any producing partners. No refunds or exchanges will be granted within 48 hours of the event start time. If approved, a full refund of the ticket cost minus any applicable service fees will be credited to your account within 30 days.
